E’ sempre difficile esprimere plasticamente i sentimenti e le emozioni che
provarono Giuseppe e Maria nella capanna di Betlemme.
L’artista Fernando Izzi, attraverso una fine lavorazione e un razionale
intreccio di lamine, ha saputo imprimere negli atteggiamenti dei tre
personaggi le proprie emozioni e i sentimenti nella contemplazione di un
avvenimento cosi straordinario.
Il gruppo è così ben armonizzato da suscitare in chi guarda un senso di
meraviglia per tanta semplicità e, nello stesso tempo, un senso di pacata
commozione dinanzi ad una scena cosi bella. Giuseppe in ginocchio, con gli
occhi bassi, esprime stupore e meraviglia, raccolto in profonda preghiera
sembra voler penetrare il grande mistero.
Maria, in quel suo atteggiamento di assorta contemplazione, esprime gioia
e gratitudine e, nello stesso tempo, mostra di essere l’umile ancella del
Signore, sentimento espresso plasticamente nel suo capo chinato a
contemplare il Dio fatto uomo.
I tre personaggi, cosi ben modellati, suscitano un senso di letizia e di
pacata serenità che invade l’animo.

It is always difficult to express plasticly the feelings and emotions that
Giuseppe and Maria felt in the stable in Bethlehem.
Fernando Izzi the artist, through a detailed craftship of corrugated iron,
has managed to impress in the behaviour of the figures their very feelings
and sentiments in the contemplation of an extroardinary event.
The threesome is so well harmonized that it conjures in those who are
admiring it a sense of marvel to such simplicity, and, at the same time, a
sense of deep emotion towards something so beautiful. Giuseppe kneeling,
with his eyes bent low, expresses stupour and visible anxiety; immersed in
deep prayer he seems to want to penetrate the great mistery.
Maria, in her profound contemplation, expresses joy and gratitude and, at
the same time you can see the expression of a humbre servant of God, a
feeling expressed plasticly in her bent head in contemplation of God who
has become man.
The three people so well modelled conjure a sense of holiness and
peacefullness.

Il est toujours difficile d'exprimer en formes sculptées les sentiments et
les émotions, de Josef et de Marie dans la crèche de Béthléem.
L'artiste Ferando Izzi, au moyen d'un très fin travail de fer forgé et
plié, a su donner aux personnages de la crèche les sentiments dignes d'un
événement extraordinaire.
L’ ensemble est si bien harmonisé, qu'il engendre dans l'ame de l'observateur
un sentiment d' étonnement: simplicité, émotion, beauté de la scène: Josef
à genoux, les yeux bas, presque stupéfié et en prière vis à vis du grand
mystère; Marie, avec son attitude de contemplation absorbée, humble
servante du Seigneur qui fige ses yeux dans le Dieu devénu homme. Le
résultat, dans l'observateur, est un état d'âme d'assouvissement et de
sérénité.
